Liv 52 Side Effects

I would like to give a review of liv 52 and it's side effects. Iiv 52 is a product from himalaya. It was one of the best and most famous ayurvedic liver supplement in india. Liv 52 was relased by himalaya in 1955. From 1955 onwards it was a dominant product in the market. It is one among few products from ayurvedic that is recommended even by  allopathy doctors. Liv 52 tablets and syrup are available in the market. It used for liver related problems like viral hepatitis, alcoholic liver disease, pre-cirrhotic conditions and early cirrhosis, radiation and chemotherapy-induced liver damage. It contains himsra, kasani, mandur bhasma, kakamachi, arjuna, kasamarda, but in the syrup form kamamachi is not there. Other than that all the contents in syrup and tablets are the same. Company says that they sold around 1 billion tablets and 13 million syrup bottles every year across the globe!!!.

i would like to give my experience with this product. When i had jaundice for the first time, one allopathy doctor prescribed me to take liv 52 and he has given some other tablets too. I used to take liv 52 in the morning time and in the evening time. He prescribed me some diet also but i consulted a ayurvedic doctor and he given some other ayurvedic medicines and my jaundice cured within 2 weeks. After that i didnt take liv 52 and other medicines that is given by my allopathy doctor  but after 3 months i had jaundice again. On the 2nd time, my bilirubin level was also really high and i consulted another allopathy doctor and he also prescribed me liv 52 and some other medicine. In the same time i consulted that aurvadic doctor (i consulted the ayurvedic doctor again is because i know with his medicine there will be a sudden decrees in the bilirubin level)  with the permission of my allopathy doctor and i had the medicine he given to me when i had jaundice for the first time. My jaundice got cured within one month but i still followed my allopathy doctors diet and i took liv 52 for around 6 months. Thanks to god after that i never had jaundice.

Liv 52 Side Effects

Most of the ayurvedic products in the market now a days are not 100 % ayurvedic. There are lots of chemicals added in most of the ayurvedic products to get better results. But this kind of chemicals may give better results but at the same time it may give some side effects also. It is really hard to find out a 100 % ayurvedic product. Liv 52 is a product that contains only ayurvedic materials. There is no side effect as of now for this ayurvedic product. When i asked my doctor about liv 52(he is in his 60's)  he told me that while he was doing his MBBS, at that time also doctors used to prescribe liv 52 for liver related problems and he told me that as of now, no one has found any side effect by this product. But higher dosage of this product may be harmful. So please don't use this product without consulting your physician.
